    Информационные материалы

GPS antennas are used for the reception of signals in a global navigation satellite system. These signals help determine the exact position and time of the connected device.

The ANT895-6ML antenna supports the GPS, GLONASS and Galileo navigation satellite systems.

    Область применения

    Application examples:

    • Time synchronization
Synchronization, e.g. of a church clock with UTC time (Universal Time Coordinated). The time is derived from the data of the GPS signal.
    • Position Sensing/ Container Tracking
A container can be tracked with the help of GPS position data, for example.

    Функции

GPS antennas receive signals from various satellites and use this data to determine their exact position and time.

For optimal signal reception, the antenna must be mounted outdoors with a clear view of the sky.

By nature, the signal strength of the received data is rather weak. For the signals to still be evaluated reliably in the connected components, the ANT896-5ML comes equipped with an integrated, low-noise repeater. It is supplied with power from the active device (e.g. LOGO!CMR2020) via the antenna connection cable. The current consumption of the antenna is so low that it can also be provided by battery-operated GPS receivers.

In addition, the antenna comes equipped with a two-stage SAW filter with high attenuation which makes it possible to set up the antenna close to the senders.
