SIMATIC Panel PC Ex OG with international approvals for operator control and monitoring in hazardous areas.

The SIMATIC Panel PC Ex OG is a Panel PC for use directly in hazardous areas. It is specially designed for applications in the oil and gas industry, but it can also be used in many other industries where explosion protection is required. The device is both an ideal platform for (maintenance-free) embedded applications, as well as a flexible platform for applications under Windows 7 Ultimate or Windows Embedded Standard 7 professional.

The SIMATIC Panel PC Ex OG is a compact device comprising an operator control unit with integral computing unit.

Basic design:

Rugged aluminum die-cast enclosure, resistant to vibration and shock, with high electromagnetic compatibility
Interfaces (Ex e):
- Redundant Ethernet 10/100/1000 Base TX (Ex e) or FO 100BaseFX 100 Mbit (Ex op is)
- Serial interface RS 232 / 422 / 485
- USB 2.0
Interfaces IS:
- DVI interface for connecting an additional monitor
- Audio interface
- External keyboard interface
- USB interface for backup / recovery functionality and other USB devices
- Interface for connecting a barcode reader, card reader and RFID reader
- Two WLAN interfaces (either 2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz)
